The Oswego Paranormal Research Society

Our Mission

To document possible paranormal activity in and around our area and offer help to people who may be experiencing such phenomena. Our investigative services are Free. We will not hesitate to refer a case that may be needing the attention of teams with special expertise whenever encountered, or asking for individuals to join an investigation should the need arise.

Our Society recognizes the need for Safety First, so the buddy system will be used by the TOPRS group in almost every instance and no member will ever be asked to do anything they themselves are uncomfortable with to search out the unknown. The TOPRS team will consist of 4 - 6 members and 1-2 investigator trainees. Our purpose is not only to document but to educate, and provide an opportunity for those with an interest in the paranormal to possibly experience interaction with the spirit realm.

We do have a pro team which is known as T.O.P.I.T. which has years of experience here in the area. They are also members of T.O.P.R.S.

All members are encouraged to share any paranormal incidents whether ghostly encounters, UFO, Unknown creatures, spiritual: earthly (or unearthly) incidents or whatever they feel inclined to share in seeking confirmation or support.

We are founded on the principle of co-operation and as a co-operative Society we are ready to assist other groups whenever possible. We care as a group of volunteers for our community and respect the property of others (whether they are still living or not : ) . We seek to support fund raising efforts for our team (s) and for our area not for profit organizations.

TOPRS will try to publish next fall, its First Year Case Anthology and continue to publish yearly. If possible a newspaper may arise quarterly, and news and information on this site updated at least weekly. Advertising will be carried and we ask that members and their families patronize our sponsors who will thereby allow us to have a low cost yearly journal and any other publications, web store and  to upgrade equipment when  needed. We will also publish a book '101 Tales of The Paranormal' a collection of paranormal stories which may or may not be in connection with regional haunts, tales passed down and kept quiet over the generations.

We will do our best to have loaner equipment available eventually, and will soon offer low cost beginner kits that are affordable to new members, journals, and more.
